Carlo Ancelotti insists Rodrygo Goes is performing well and happy at Real Madrid amid speculation the Brazilian could play a reduced role this season.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti insists Rodrygo Goes is happy at the club and doing well, despite Spanish media suggesting the Brazilian forward will play a reduced role in the current squad.

After a message appeared on social media claiming that Rodrygo had spoken to Spanish media that he was one of Real Madrid’s four forwards, along with Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, using the name BMRV, not BMV as the Madrid media had been calling him, Ancelotti confirmed that it was untrue. 

‘I spoke to him. I asked him what happened. He said it was a fake message. He didn’t say anything. He’s happy and doing a good job. There’s no problem with him.’ 

‘Everyone knows his quality. In the last two games he has done very well. In a team with a very strong defense, the strikers have to work harder and he has done well.’
